It started as conversations.
BBQandTech grew out of a simple idea: talk about the tech that makes great BBQ even better. What started as a podcast—testing new gadgets, comparing tools, and swapping stories on the podcast—quickly turned into something bigger. As those conversations flowed, so did the pitmaster knowledge, and listeners began tuning in not just for the tech, but for the craft behind the cook.
In the middle of all that experimenting, sharing, and talking BBQ, an unexpected opportunity took shape. When Chris Ashley, Pitmaster and Owner, recognized it, he ran with it—transforming BBQandTech from a podcast into a full‑blown family food truck and catering business. Today, that spark lives on in every dish: the same curiosity, creativity, and passion that started it all now fuels a Jamaican‑inspired BBQ experience on wheels.
